Because the information we have available online is confusing and misleading, DOCTOR MANZANILLA wants to be a source of reliable information during this critical times.

 

What are the symptoms of the COVID-19 infection?

1- Fever in almost 90% of patients

2- Respiratory symptoms like:
Cough, runny nose, sore throat, and shortness of breath. 
Respiratory symptoms are present in almost 90% of patients.

3- Digestive symptoms like vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. 
Digestive symptoms are present in around 10% of patients.

4- Muscle aches.

5- Fatigue.

 

Who are the patients with the highest risk of getting complications from the Corona infection?

Patients with serious chronic medical conditions like: 
- Heart disease
- Diabetes 
- Lung disease etc.

 

The virus spreads from person to person by either:
1- Droplets ( saliva drops ).

2- Airbone, meaning it can stay floating in the air for quite sometime.
3- Contaminated surfaces.

 

How to prevent viral transmission:
1- Get Vaccinated.
2- It is more important to have soap and water THAN tissue paper and hand sanitizer.
SOAP IS EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE to avoid viral transmission.
3- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
4- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
5- Avoid close contact with sick people. Stay away at least 9 feet from other people.
6- Don’t go or stay in crowded places. Avoid public transportation as much as possible.
7- NO HAND SHAKING, WAVING HELLO is socially accepted.
8- If you get sick DON’T PANIC, chances are you are going to recover just fine.
9- Call your doctor’s office before looking for medical treatment.
10- Wear a face Mask.
11- When you cough, use the inside of your elbow or cover your mouth and nose with tissue paper. Throw away the tissue paper immediately and wash your hands with soap and water.
12- Clean and disinfect surfaces at least twice a day. Preferably with soap and water or alcohol.
13- Separate outside from inside shoes.
14- Remember pets can get sick, too. if you are sick do not touch your pets.
15- Follow your local and federal authorities recommendations.
